Doxy-A Vet

Doxy A Vet (Doxycycline 100mg) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic in the tetracycline class. It is effective against Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, and Spirochetes. Doxycycline is under group of Tetracycline’s which bind to the 30s ribosomal subunit of bacterial ribosome and interfere with the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the mRNA molecule in ribosome complex. Thereby interfere with bacterial protein synthesis in growing or multiplying bacteria. Leading to bacteriostatic but higher concentration results bacteriocidal action.

 

Indications

Doxy-A Vet is indicated for treating various local and systemic infections in poultry and cattle caused by susceptible organisms.

 

In Poultry

 

• Prevention and treatment of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)
• Infectious Coryza
• Colibacillosis
• Fowl Cholera
• Fowl Typhoid
• Infectious Synovitis
• Mycoplasmosis
• Salmonellosis
• Chlamydiosis
• Necrotic Enteritis

 

In Cattle

 

• Respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Streptococcus spp., and Mycoplasma spp.
• Pyoderma caused by Staphylococcus spp.
• Otitis Media
• Calf Scour
• Prostatitis

 

Dosage and Administration

 

Route of Administration: Oral

 

Poultry

 

• Prevention of early chick mortality: 1 g of powder per 4 liters of drinking water daily for 3-7 days.
• Treatment: 1 g of powder per 2 liters of drinking water daily for 3-7 days.

 

Cattle

 

• 15-30 mg/kg body weight daily for 3-7 days.

 

Note: Always follow the veterinarian’s prescription and guidelines for specific dosing.

Contraindications

 

• Contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to doxycycline.

Withdrawal Period

 

• Cattle (Meat): 14 days
• Poultry (Meat): 5 days
• Poultry (Eggs): 4 days

• Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.

ডক্সি এ ভেট একটি শক্তিশালী ব্রড-স্পেকট্রাম অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক যা পশুদের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি ডক্সিসাইক্লিন হাইক্লেট উপাদান দ্বারা তৈরি এবং পোলট্রি ও গবাদি পশুতে ব্যাকটেরিয়াল সংক্রমণ এবং কিছু প্রোটোজোয়া রোগের চিকিৎসায় কার্যকর। এটি ক্রনিক রেসপিরেটরি ডিজিজ (CRD), কোলিবাসিলোসিস, সালমোনেলোসিস, নেক্রোটিক এন্টারাইটিসসহ বিভিন্ন সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে ব্যবহৃত হয়। গবাদি পশুর ক্ষেত্রে এটি শ্বাসতন্ত্রের সংক্রমণ, চামড়ার রোগ এবং ক্যালফ স্কোরের চিকিৎসায় ব্যবহৃত হয়।

 

ডক্সি এ ভেট খাওয়ার নিয়ম কী?

 

ডক্সি এ ভেট ব্যবহারের নিয়ম অনুযায়ী পোলট্রির ক্ষেত্রে ১ গ্রাম পাউডার প্রতি ৪ লিটার পানিতে প্রিভেনশনের জন্য এবং ২ লিটার পানিতে চিকিৎসার জন্য মেশানো হয়, যা ৩-৭ দিন পর্যন্ত খাওয়ানো হয়। গবাদি পশুর জন্য ১৫-৩০ মিলিগ্রাম/কেজি শরীরের ওজন অনুযায়ী ডোজ নির্ধারণ করা হয়। এই ওষুধ প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক পশু ও বাচ্চাদের জন্য নিরাপদ হলেও, গর্ভবতী ও দুগ্ধদানকারী পশুদের জন্য সতর্কভাবে ব্যবহার করা উচিত। ডক্সি এ ভেট ব্যবহারের ফলে ক্ষুধামন্দা, বমি, বা ডায়রিয়ার মতো পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা দিতে পারে, তবে সঠিক ব্যবহারে এটি কার্যকরী এবং নিরাপদ।

 

ডক্সি এ ভেট ব্যবহারের সতর্কতা, পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া ও সংরক্ষণের উপায় কী?

 

ডক্সি এ ভেট বাজারে ১০ গ্রাম এবং ১০০ গ্রাম স্যাশে আকারে পাওয়া যায়, যার দাম ৩০-৫০ টাকা এবং ৩০০-৫০০ টাকার মধ্যে পরিবর্তিত হয়। এটি ৩০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াসের নিচে, শুকনো ও অন্ধকার স্থানে সংরক্ষণ করা উচিত। যেকোনো ব্যবহারের আগে একজন লাইসেন্সপ্রাপ্ত পশুচিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নেওয়া প্রয়োজন, কারণ ওষুধটির দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ব্যবহারে অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক রেজিস্ট্যান্স তৈরি হতে পারে। তাই ডক্সি এ ভেট ব্যবহারে সচেতনতা ও সঠিক নিয়ম মেনে চলা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
