This formulation is known for its long-lasting effect, providing effective parasite control for an extended period.

Active Ingredient:

  • Ivermectin (15% L.A., 150mg/ml): Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic agent that is effective against a broad spectrum of parasites, including roundworms, lungworms, grubs, lice, mites, and external parasites like ticks and fleas.

Formulation: Injection

Package Size: 100 ml

Indications:

  • Internal Parasites: Livisto Invemox 15% L.A. is effective in treating gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, and liver flukes.
  • External Parasites: It also treats external parasites like lice, mites, and ticks that infest the skin of livestock.
  • Mange and Sarcoptic Mange: Effective for treating skin infestations like mange caused by Sarcoptes scabiei mites.
  • Other Parasitic Infections: It also controls parasites such as horn flies, grubs, and bot flies.
  • Infection Prevention: It helps in the prevention of parasitic infections by providing long-lasting protection.

Dosage & Administration:

    • Administration: Administer the injection subcutaneously (under the skin) or intramuscularly (in the muscle), as directed by a veterinarian.
    • For Livestock:
      • For cattle, sheep, and goats, it is recommended to use the injection in the neck area or front shoulder.
      • For pigs, the injection should be given in the muscle.
  • Frequency: The long-acting nature of the formulation means it generally provides extended protection, typically for 4-8 weeks depending on the parasite load and the species treated. For heavy infestations, retreatment may be necessary after the recommended period.
  • Duration of Action: This long-acting formulation is effective in providing continuous protection for several weeks after a single administration, helping to control parasites for an extended period.

Precautions:

  • Veterinary Consultation: Always consult a veterinarian before using this product to ensure correct dosage and administration. Dosage may vary based on the species of animal and the severity of the infestation.
  • Not for Use in Pregnant or Lactating Animals (unless advised by a vet): While ivermectin is generally safe, use in pregnant or lactating animals should only be done under veterinary supervision, as it may affect the fetus or offspring.
  • Withdrawal Period: Ensure the appropriate withdrawal period (time to wait before slaughter) is observed after administering this product. It is typically 28 days for cattle, 21 days for sheep and goats, and 7 days for pigs before slaughter.
  • Avoid in Certain Breeds: Collie-type dogs, sheepdogs, and other ivermectin-sensitive breeds should avoid exposure to this product.

Storage:

  • Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
