Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV Injection – (1gm/vial)

Consuming alcohol while taking Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Avoid prolonged use of Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV, since it may have possible effects such as rash and diarrhea.

Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV is recommended.

There is limited information available on the use of Cefopen 1 gm IM/IV in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
